Inspiring Wonder has brought workshops on the enormous themes of rocks, the history of life and mass extinction into several schools and Colleges in Cornwall.
I am always keen to share inspiring science in schools and Colleges, especially in the subject areas of biology, geology and chemistry… and I am happy to represent and inspire Women in Science!
I am DBS checked and have experience as a visiting teacher and volunteer teacher at Primary Schools, Sixth Form Colleges and Universities.
In Cornwall I’ve enjoyed teaching Earth Sciences as a volunteer at Truro School, Helston College and St Francis Primary School. I’m currently a volunteer teacher at Flushing Primary School, where I assist year 3-4 and have taught fun sessions on dinosaurs, human biology and the geological history of life. In Cambridge I taught primary, A level and undergraduate students aspects of geology and convergent evolution, using brilliant specimens of the University Museum of Zoology and the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences.
